Mind Your Utterances, DSS Warns Nigerians ‘Threatening Buhari’s Government’

The Department of State Services (DSS) has warned individuals and groups whose utterances and actions threaten the peace and sovereignty of the country.

Public Relations Officer, DSS National Headquarters, Abuja, Dr Peter Afunanya, in a statement on Sunday, said deliberate machinations by subversive and hostile groups whose agenda is to throw the country into anarchy to serve the interests of their sponsors would no longer be tolerated.

The DSS described as unfortunate, a situation where those who should be patriotic were allowing their personal ambitions to ruin the nation.

It reminded every Nigerian that although democracy offers free speech, it does not give room to reckless pronouncements.

The agency, however, said it was working with other security and law enforcement agencies to ensure the maintenance of peace and internal security in the country.
