Many Trapped As Commercial Bus Plunges Into River In Lagos

Many passengers got trapped after a commercial vehicle plunged into a canal at Oworonshoki in Lagos State, on Monday.

Some of the passengers who were rescued sustained different degrees of injuries.

It was learnt that the bus first had a punctured tyre and as the driver tried to regain control of the fast moving vehicle, it veered off and plunged into the canal

The actual number of passengers on the bus could not be ascertained as of press time on Monday, but sources said effort was on to rescue those trapped inside the bus.
