Buhari Reveals Criteria For APC Presidential Candidate

President Buhari on Tuesday disclosed his criteria for the ideal presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 elections.

The President made the disclosure while meeting with APC Governors in Abuja.

“Our objective must be the victory of our party and our choice of candidate must be someone who would give the Nigerian masses a sense of victory and confidence even before the elections,” President Buhari said, as quoted in a statement signed by presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina.

The APC commenced the screening of its presidential candidates on Monday.

It is expected to hold a convention between June 6 and 8 where the candidate is to emerge from about 23 aspirants.
