Celebrations As Bride Passes Her Virginity Test, Gets Cash Gift From Husband (Video)

A Gambian woman, Meta Mbye, has received a cash gift of D28,000 from her husband after passing her virginity test. 

A video shared on TikTok shows family members celebrating after the test.

One of relatives, who sat outside waiting while Meta was having her virginity test, confirmed that Meta’s husband gave her over D28,000 which converts to N300,000 in Naira.

“The husband was so happy that was why he gave her D28,000, which was placed under her pillow,” she said. 

Some of the elders, who were present after the test, praised Meta’s mother for raising a pure woman. 

The video has generated varying reactions with many congratulating Meta for remaining a virgin until her wedding day while others argued that the virginity test should be banned because it is humiliating.
