Why I Slammed 2baba Over Public Divorce Announcement – Toke Makinwa

Media personality Toke Makinwa has explained her reason for criticizing 2baba after he publicly announced his divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia Macauley, on social media.

Toke expressed her thoughts on Instagram, stating that while she supports individuals leaving unhealthy marriages, 2baba’s timing was inappropriate.

According to Toke, there’s more to the story than meets the eye, and 2baba should not have shared the news online, especially considering the intense public scrutiny the couple is already facing.

She wrote: “Nobody is asking anybody to stay in a situation that’s not serving them any purpose anymore. By all means, leave if you just want, but why bring this online at this very moment?

“We know what’s going on behind closed doors. The world doesn’t know anything; it’s already been hectic with opinions flying around, and when I say we will fight for her, I’m not talking about the general public.

“A handful of people know the truth and time will tell. Timing is everything. Empathy is everything.

“You constantly preach love, you cannot add to the narrative that’s out here when you know what is happening behind closed doors”.
