2face Addresses Rumours Of Him Being ‘Kidnapped’

Nigerian music icon 2Baba has reacted to viral claims by his mother that he was kidnapped, joking that he is now raising funds for his release.

The controversy erupted after his family members, including his mother, Rose Idibia, raised concerns over his whereabouts, especially amid his ongoing divorce from actress Annie Idibia.

In a widely circulated video, Rose alleged that 2Baba was missing and possibly being held against his will by his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker from Edo State.

She pleaded with Natasha to “free her son,” suggesting that he was under some form of control or manipulation.

Addressing the situation during a performance, 2Baba appeared to lighten the claims, saying, “Allegedly, I’ve been missing. Allegedly, I’ve been kidnapped. So, as we come to the Acapella show, this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me.”

His comments, delivered with humour, appeared to downplay the seriousness of the accusations circulating online.
