Annie Macaulay Confirms Divorce From 2Baba

Actress and media personality Annie Macaulay has officially confirmed her divorce from Nigerian music icon 2Baba.

While co-presenting an award alongside Farooq Oreagba at the 17th Headies Awards, Annie reintroduced herself using her maiden name, “Annie Macaulay.” 

She momentarily stumbled over her former marital name, “Annie Idi…,” before making the declaration, drawing loud cheers from the audience as she gave a shoutout to “single ladies.”

Her public confirmation came after months of speculation, especially after she dropped “Idibia” from her Instagram handle upon returning to social media in March.

The couple officially parted ways in January 2025, when 2Baba announced their separation and filed for divorce. 

Since then, 2Baba has proposed to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru and introduced her to his family, fueling rumours of an upcoming wedding.

Annie and 2Baba were married for 13 years, tying the knot in 2012. 

Their relationship, which started in 1999, produced two daughters, Isabel and Olivia.
