I’m A Single Woman Raising Two Kids, Not A Single Mum – Annie Macaulay

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has shared a message on social media about how she wants to be addressed.

In an Instagram Story on Monday, the actress wrote, “I’m not a single mum. I’m a single woman raising two kids.”

The brief but firm statement quickly drew reactions online, with many interpreting it as her way of correcting a common label often used to describe women raising children alone.

Her post comes more than a year after music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia publicly confirmed in January 2025 that they had separated and filed for divorce, ending one of Nigeria’s most high-profile celebrity marriages.

The pair tied the knot in 2013 in two ceremonies and share two daughters: Isabel, born in 2008, and Olivia, born in 2014.

Meanwhile, 2Baba has since remarried Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in November 2025.
