Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to leave prison earlier than previously scheduled following his enrolment in a federal drug rehabilitation programme.
According to public records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons cited by Page Six, the music executive’s projected release date has been moved from June 4, 2028, to April 25, 2028 — roughly six weeks sooner than earlier anticipated.
The adjustment reportedly followed his admission into the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) in November. Inmates who complete the programme may qualify for sentence reductions under federal guidelines.
At the time of his acceptance, a representative for the Bad Boy Records founder said he was committed to the rehabilitation process.
“Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start. He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change,” the statement read.
