In this interview with Diamond Celebrities, Uche took us into her past, excerpt:

By Delia Innoma

There was a rumour your ex boyfriend led you to Christ, was that true?

Yes is true. My Ex boyfriend led me to Christ!
It’s a pity he didn’t stay longer to see how much I have changed!

What happened to him; he dead?

No! He’s still alive.

Is he an Actor?
No, he is a footballer.
So he broke your heart?

Yes he did, I loved him

What do you think that made him left?

I don’t know, I guess nollywood gossip (gossips in Nollywood), I believe people told him stuff about me.

Are you suspecting anyone?

I have a lot of people I am suspecting but you know it doesn’t really matter any longer, because I have decided to put it behind me and move on.

Have you ever cheated on him?

I never did! While we were together, I couldn’t have, even if I wanted to, because I was so blinded by love then.

I was more truthful about myself than I have ever been before; maybe it was him who wasn’t truthful enough.

How long were you together?

Roughly a year and I cried for complete one year again without a relationship! OMG! That was a worst period of my entire life.
Almost ran crazy, because in just one year, I was able to transform from a very bad girl to a very good girl! Just for some human being.

Wow! That’s love! Was he the first man you’ve ever loved that way?

Yea and I don’t think I can ever love like that again.
After him, have you ever given your heart to another?

I tried, but it doesn’t ever gonna be that way again.

Do you have someone else in your life now?

Yea, I do.

Is the new guy the ‘Mr. right?

Well! I wouldn’t say, until am ready to say I do to him.

Are you happy with him?

I can’t complain.

Sometimes people realize what they’ve got till it’s gone, if your Footballer ever comes back; will you take him back?

I don’t know! I don’t think I can, because I can’t forget how much I was hurt…
The Betrayal, the hurt and the anger inside me; but I’m happy now and I guess he is also.

How come he could lead you to God; was he a borne Again?

He wasn’t really what I would call a born again, but he was quite closer to God than I was at that time, he advised me a lot about so many things you know, so in the process of becoming a better girl, I got deeper in my faith.

How close are you with God now?

A lot closer than I ever thought possible.

If you have chance to change anything what will that be?

I shouldn’t have trusted him and believed he was what he painted to me he was! I can change that if I have the chance. I wish I knew a lot about painted pictures then, maybe I wouldn’t have fallen in love.

So you felt disappointed and deceived?
I felt disappointed, he deceived me.

Is your falling in love always this ‘head over heels?

(Laughed) Nothing like that anymore!
Is there anything you’ll like to advice young girls in matter of love?
My advice is simply ‘look before you leap!
