DC: We heard you’re hitting Lagos next week for a video shoot. Too sweet: Yes.

DC: Who is directing the movie? ToOsWeEt: The director is Bassey Ubong.

Diamond: Which role are you playing and which actors are starring as well? ToOsWeEt: I’m playing a lead role. Other actors are Christabel from Ghana and from Nigeria, we have Pawpaw, Belinda Efa, Aisha (Miss Nigeria), etc

DC: Is this your first movie you are shooting in Nigeria? ToOsWeEt: Yes

DC: Please tell us which movies you’ve starred in before? ToOsWeEt: Crazy Scandal, Sinking hearts, Grave yard, The last secret, Swag, Off the hook, The President son, etc.

DC: How did you get started in this field? ToOsWeEt : I’ve been on the screen since my childhood. There was this program on tv called ‘Toddlers Time’ when I was a child. I’ve been doing drama till Junior High School, but after college I decided to go back into acting. It was rough after 4 years of auditions without a role. I then met some producers and that’s where I got my first role in the movie ‘The Supremo’.

DC: What would you say was your happiest moment as an actor?

ToOsWeEt : I don’t have a happiest moment because am always happy. I’m a happy person no matter what.

DC: What are the advantages of been an actor?

Toosweet: Well nothing much, Just the appreciation and attention one gets

DC: Your name Toosweet is an unusual name, but it’s a cool name. Please tell us the story behind the name.

ToOsWeEt: Well, my mum is Nigerian and my dad was working for my mum’s elder sister, that is how they met. However, my mum’s family didn’t like Ghanaians at that time. My mum got pregnant for my dad but my mum’s folks didn’t like the idea so mum and dad had to run from Nigeria to Ghana. My mum wanted a boy for a first child, and when I was born I was very fair with very curly hair. My mum thought I was ‘too sweet’ after all the stress, so she decided to call me by that name.

DC: Are you married?

ToOsWeEt : No, I’m not married.

DC: Who is your role model?

ToOsWeEt:  Funny enough he’s not an actor: Usher Raymond.

DC: Which actors do you look up to in Ghana and Nollywood?

Toosweet: I look up to Michael Majid and I like RMD.

DC: Have you had a crush on any actress before, even before you became an actor?

ToOsWeEt : Yes, Monalisa Chinda.

DC: Have you met her before?

ToOsWeEt: I just love her acting, I’ve not met her before.

DC: Where would you like to marry from, Nigeria or Ghana?

ToOsWeEt: From anywhere. I don’t mind, so long as we love each other.

DC: Many actors said they regret losing their private lives after they’ve become stars. Do you have any regrets?

ToOsWeEt: No regrets. I still do what I used to do before becoming a star.

DC: What advise would you give to anyone who wants to join the film industry?

ToOsWeEt : My advice is one should be patient and humble, because good things come to those who have patience. Life is a long lesson in humility.

DC: Thank you so much for talking with us.

Toosweet:  Thank You too.
