Hollywood/Nollywood movie “Turning Point” wins 2013 TrindieFest Film Festival

“Turning Point” is another Nollywood movie that has gone international. The movie won the award of Best Drama at the 2013 TrindieFest Independent Film Festival in Colorado, USA.

Turning Point was produced and directed by Niyi Towolawi and co-produced by Egor Efiok a.k.a Lady Boss (CEO of E4 PR).

Here is what Niyi told Diamond Celebrities in a short chat: “I’m happy the film is being recognised globally. It’s the only black film to win there”.

The movie features Nollywood stars Jackie Appiah, Igoni Archibong, Patience Ozokwor (Mama Gee), Enyinna Nwigwe, Ebbe Bassey and Chelsea Eze, alongside a host of Hollywood stars such as Lauren London (“ATL”, “I Love You, BethCooper”, “Good Hair”), Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”, “Law and Order”, “Desperate Housewives”), Todd Bridges (“Diff’rent Strokes”, “Everybody Hates Chris”), Cynda Williams (“Mo’ Better Blues”, “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge”) and Joe Estevez (“Apocalypse Now”, “Spanish Fly”).

  1. Lauren London did not star in this movie. K.D. Aubert played the American girlfriend that was jilted.
