Michael Schumacher

Michael Schumacher turns 45-year-old. The F1 legend suffered his devastating ski accident while helping a pal’s daughter last Sunday. Germany’s Bild Newspaper said:  “The daughter of a friend suddenly crashed. Schumacher helo the girl, leaving the groomed area and moves about 20 metres in the deep snow between the slopes Biche and Mauduit.”  “Both sides of the groomed slopes are said to be marked with flags.”

According to his manager Sabina Kehm, Shumacher’s condition remains stable but critical in the hospital in Grenoble, where he is in an induced coma battling brain injuries.

His Family has described the former multiple-Formula One Champion as a „fighter“ in a message thanking fans for their support following his skiing accident.

In a message posted on Shumi’s website, his family wrote: „Following Michael’s skiing accident, we would like to thank the people from all round the world who have expressed their sympathy and sent their best wishes for his recovery. They are giving us great support. „We all know he is a fighter and will not give up. Thanks“
