Police arrest man with 18 human skulls

Nemesis yesterday caught up with a 38-year-old man in Ogun State as he was caught with 18 human skulls.

Adelani (surname withheld), who resides in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of the state was arrested by the police in Ado Odo town, Ado Odo/ Local Government Area of the state,

Adelani was alleged to be riding on an ‘Okada’ with the human parts hid in a bag before the long arm of law caught up with him as policemen on stop-and-search along Ado Odo- Owode Road arrested him.

Although the driver of the motor cycle escaped, Daily Sun gathered that Adelani, who was said to have confessed to the crime was not so lucky.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect would be transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department for further investigation.

The PPRO also quoted the state Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, as saying that the force would not relent until it unraveled the source of the human skulls and arrest other suspects in connection with the crime.
