Rick Ross was taken into custody by police in North Carolina on Friday night for failing to show up
to court stemming from a 2013 arrest for marijuana possession.
The 38-year-old rapper had just concluded a performance at the SuperJam concert in Greensboro when authorities swooped in and arrested him, according to TMZ.
He was, however, released from custody not long after, upon posting $1,000 bail.
The hip hop legend is said to have been required to attend a mandatory court hearing to take care
of a misdemeanour marijuana charge back in 2013.
Tmz claims that after failing to show up, he was taken into custody shortly after stepping foot back in the State on Friday.
Fortunately for the wealthy star, the $1,000 he was required to pay was chump change, and he was promptly released.
