Three people died, while others were injured in the incident. It was also gathered that the robbers carted away about N24m
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident, but said one policeman was killed.
She said, “This afternoon, a Fidelity Bank Cash Center was robbed. Huge deposits were made to the tune of N24m at the cash center and when officials from the bank’s head office came to collect the money, they were waylaid. A policeman was killed in the process.
“We suspect an insider’s collaboration. Also, administratively there are questions to be answered because a cash center is not supposed to receive such amount of deposit. So far, we have made seven arrests.”
