APGA holds rally, adopts Jonathan for 2015

APGA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) yesterday held its rally, where it adopted President Goodluck Jonathan for 2015 election.

Speaking during the event at Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, the APGA national chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, announced the adoption, saying that APGA had previously adopted Jonathan in the 2011 presidential election and had since remained a strategic partner with the president.

Umeh said that with Jonathan, democracy had come to stay in Nigeria, adding that the people  who planned the adoption of female secondary school students in Chibok, Borno State to embarass the president, had made a big mistake.

Umeh deplored a recent publication by a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Ken Emekayi against the APGA, saying that nobody could take Jonathan away from the party.

He added that Anambra people were happy with Jonathan, being the best candidate in the 2015 presidential election.
