
A Texas patient who became the first U.S.-diagnosed case of Ebola died from the virus Wednesday morning in a Dallas hospital, officials said.
Thomas Eric Duncan, 42, passed away at 7:51 a.m. in the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, the facility announced in a brief statement.
“Mr. Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease, Ebola,” the statement read. “He fought courageously in this battle.
