Lagos Lawmakers Raise Alarm Over Traffic Robbery Attacks

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have raised an alarm over robbery attacks in the state particularly that of motorists and car owners.

According to the lawmakers, these robbers now place themselves on both sides of busy roads at night and attack unsuspecting motorists, especially those driving in their cars.

In many instances, the robbers, according to the lawmakers, have succeeded in carting away money and personal belongings of their victims and since it is dark, most times, the victims hardly recognise them.

Raising this security threat under Matter of Urgent Public Importance, the lawmaker representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2 at the House, Omowunmi Olatunji-Edet, explained her personal experience with such robbers on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway recently…

She pleaded with the House to intervene and save the residents of the state, adding that she was sure many other people are suffering the same fate.
