A teenage girl who suffered beating at the hands of her husband allegedly took matters into her own hands and killed him with hot water,Vanguard reports.
Aisha Jibrin from Bauchi has been taken before a Magistrate Court after she was accused of killing her husband, Ladan by pouring the boiling water on him while he was bathing leading to his death in a hospital.
The suspect is said to have lost one of her teeth after her late husband beat her for having an abortion without his consent.
The incident reportedly occurred on October 8, at the couple’s home in the Jahun Ward area of the state and was reported to the police by the victim’s brother, Nasiru Mohammed.
The suspect has been charged with homicide and the case has been adjourned to October 28 for further hearing.
