I’m not bothered my grandchild is born out of wedlock – Shan George

One of the sons of popular actress, Shan George, had a baby recently and the funky new grandmother popped champagne to express her joy.

But even as she was celebrating and making merry, most people didn’t know that the toddler was born out of wedlock as her son is yet to marry the mother of his child.

However, Shan doesn’t even care one bit.

In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, she said that she had no problem with the fact that her son is not married to the mother of the child. She said that she does not encourage abortion and the child is a blessing to her family.

“I am only happy that my son has a child, the other things are mundane. When it comes to the question of whether I have a problem with the fact that my grandchild was born out of wedlock, it depends. Some people don’t have a problem with it, so why should I? I believe that with everything that concerns a human being, it is a matter of their own opinion. My son and his girlfriend in the real sense of it are none of my business.

“They have a child and I am happy about it. If I have problems with it or not is a very personal issue and I don’t go about telling everybody about my business. Having a child is a blessing and I cannot encourage abortion. I am very happy with my son and his girlfriend and I thank God that she had a safe delivery,” the actress said.

Meanwhile, in this era where Nollywood stakeholders are romancing the presidency, the fair-skinned actress said that her movie, Finding Goodluck, has nothing to do with the president and whoever does not believe her assertion should get a copy of the movie and watch.

She said, “When it comes to my movie, Finding Goodluck, if people think it is to patronise the president, all I can say about it is that whatever anybody like, they can say because people are entitled to their opinion. Maybe if they go and buy the movie and watch it, their opinion may change.”
