A young mother was killed by her three-year-old son, who reportedly shot her dead with a semi-automatic handgun he found under the couch.
According to Tulsa World, the “horrible accident,” happened when the toddler found the loaded semi-automatic handgun and fired a shot, hitting 26-year-old Christa Engles in the head at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States.

The victim’s grandmother returned home to discover what had happened.
The young boy was reported to have repeatedly said “mummy shot” as he was carried out of the house.
The toddler was interviewed by child specialists and confirmed the events, police said.
A Tulsa Police sergeant told NBC News that there was a lot of guns in the house.
“We are prepared to do what we have to do to keep the kid safe – we think this is a horrible, horrible accident,” sergeant Dave Walker said.
