Senior Special Assistant to President Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, has stated that the Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan was similar to Jesus Christ.
According to Okupe, the president bears the burden of the nation like Jesus Christ shouldered the burden of Christians.
Okupe made the comments while speaking on the state of the nation on Channels TV programme Sunrise Daily, today.
He said: “People do not understand the burden this president is bearing. He’s like Jesus Christ. He’s bearing the burden of everybody.”
Furthermore, Okupe claimed that the efforts of the government in fighting the Boko Haram insurgency and addressing the problems in the power sector, were being hindered by external factors.
He also added that it would be highly impossible for his boss, Jonathan, to lose out in the 2015 elections.
