Groups promise Jonathan 7million votes!

A coalition of registered groups working for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan has promised to deliver seven million votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 28 Presidential election.

To achieve the goal, the coalition which comprises of over 40 registered groups under the Goodluck Support Groups (GSG), held a public rally on Saturday, in Akure, the Ondo State capital where members from the six South West states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun Ondo and Ekiti agreed to mobilize support for President Jonathan in the forthcoming poll.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, chairman of the coalition, Mr Banji Omotoso said over seven million votes would be delivered to President Jonathan in the South-West region through the coalition.

He stated that “the tumultuous crowd you are seeing here today is an evidence of rigorous activities which the coalition has engaged itself with since inception. The crowd here is not just the normal street crowd you see at most rallies; these are people that have permanent voter’s card (PVC) for voting.”
