Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon has hit back at claims he gave Whitney Houston’s daughter a “toxic cocktail” and then put her face down in a bath of cold water.
In a lawsuit filed in Fulton County Superior Court, Atlanta, they accuse Nick of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and transferring money from Bobbi Kristina’s account into his own without permission.
He has furiously denied the claims, which were added to an original lawsuit filed on June 24 against him, calling the lawsuit “slanderous and merit-less”.
In a statement, his rep said: “Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly.
“Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”
The family’s lawsuit claims that Gordon “gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage.”
Brown, the 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney and Bobby Brown, died on July 26 – six months after being found at her home in Roswell.
She never regained consciousness and was moved to hospice care in June and the amended complaint adds a wrongful death count.
