Students are using dildos to call out U.S. gun laws

Students in the US are taking on the country’s absurd lack of gun control by arming themselves with dildos…

University of Texas student Jessica Jin is leading a protest against a new law coming into force next August, which will allow people to carry concealed handguns throughout university campuses.

Calling out the hypocrisy of the law being totally fine with hand-held killing machines, and yet scandalised by a perfectly safe (and fun!) sex toy, Jessica and the other 1,500 people who are participating will be ‘strapping gigantic swinging dildos from our backpacks’ from August 24, 2016. And they’re doing it with the hashtag #CocksNotGlocks.

According to Texas state law, anyone displaying or distributing ‘obscene’ materials in public can be punishable with a $500 fine.

On a Facebook event set up for the protest, Jessica writes: ‘The State of Texas has decided that it is not at all obnoxious to allow deadly concealed weapons in classrooms, however it DOES have strict rules about free sexual expression, to protect your innocence.

‘You would receive a citation for taking a DILDO to class before you would get in trouble for taking a gun to class.

‘Heaven forbid the penis.’

So far this year, there have been 52 school shootings in the US, killing 30 people and injuring 53.

There have been 294 mass shootings overall, with an attack on a community college in Oregon being the most recent.
