The actor who will be turning 34 in a few days time shared his first photos of the year with his daughter on New Year’s Day, and while chatting with Diamond Celebrities, reacted to Olamide and Don Jazzy saga, He said: “I don’t think any young Nigerian would dispute the fact that YBNL crew were outstanding last year. Lil kesh was amazing. Even Reekado believed Lil Kesh would win it. (Congratulations to Reekado). But I’m not the judge though; they know their criteria, respect to the Headies.
I’m a big fan of Olamide, I understand his grudge, its normal but I think he went about it the wrong way. It was a wrong action from him, and a wrong action will always stir up a wrong reaction. So I always judge the action before the reaction, because without the action there would have been no reaction. Pulling a Kanye stun there wouldn’t change anything, the winner had already been announced. And he’s a youth ambassador, the streets look up to him. So doing such a thing would definitely send the wrong message to the youths. It’s not the end of the world, awards or not, if you are talented you are talented, you’ll always be recognized.
On Don Jazzy’s part, he was obviously out to run Olamide down, because the car isn’t Olamide’s problem, he was just speaking out because he believed lil kesh should win it. But like I said there wouldn’t have been a wrong reaction from Don Jazzy if there wasn’t an initial wrong action from Olamide. I hear they have made up though. That’s great, that’s the spirit. I wish them both a wonderful 2016. Happy new year everyone”.
