To say is a mind-blowing is nothing to compare with what we witnessed on Monday. The award-winning and talented artist, Vivian Timothy proudly took Nigerians back to their root with her startling artwork, 1st of August, 2016.
Special quests of honour were the head of consular and immigration, Mr Joseph Oyi, delegates of Nigerian Embassy Berlin and the 2nd May0r of the Stadt Königsbrunn, Frau Barbara Jaser. Music and drummer group Kukurudu with Alex Kofi Acquah and dancer Sarah made it a night to remember.
The event is hosted by Kulturburo Königsbrunn.
Mr. Oyi, in his speech, thanked the Stadt Konigsbrunn for their support to promote Nigerian culture.
He also praised the cultural ambassador, Vivian Timothy, for her effort to promote Nigerian culture with dignity, as she revealed the beauty of Africa with her fascinating paintings and colours. It’s only an artist’s that understands the time invested to do one single art work, he remarked. Speaking further, he specified that Nigerian Embassy is so happy and very much in support of Vivian Timothy good venture to promote African culture. He also promised to corroborate with the Mayor and Königsbrunn town to promote culture.
The beautiful artists on her speech, revealed her passion and dreams to build a platform, where other talented Nigerian artists will have the possibility to grow.
Engr. Oge Ozofor is the President Nigerian German coalition for human development e.V. & also President lgbo Community Augsburg, Amb. Kennedy C. Onyeke is Funds/Media director NGCHD e.V. and President lgbo community Munich, Dr. Augustine Okeke is Secretary General Elders Forum Ndi lgbo Germany and Project director NGCHD e.V also graced the event in style to support their own.
The evening ended with good refreshment as Germans were delighted to taste African finger foods.
