CNN, New York Times ‘shine’ at Trump’s fake news awards

The world stood still as Donald Trump’s “highly anticipated” fake news awards held Wednesday.

The US President took to his playground — Twitter — to announce that the winners’ list can be found on the website of his political party.

Trump, who has reportedly made over two thousand ‘fake’ claims since assuming office, said the awards is to honour “the most corrupt & biased of the mainstream media”.

As expected, CNN and New York Times, media organisations which the US president can’t stand, emerged top on the list.

Of the 11 ‘fake news reports’ listed, CNN won four, New York Times clinched two, while TIME magazine, ABC News, Newsweek and Washington Post won an award each.

The US president also took time out of his busy schedule to praise the losers at the fake news awards.

Should you be interested, you can find the full list on the Republican Party’s website.
