Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of late Biafran leader, Odumegwu Ojukwu has shared a story on the supposed stinginess of Peter Obi.
Ojukwu was reacting to a statement made by a popular cleric, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria, AMEN, Fr Ejike Mbaka who revealed why the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi will never become the next President of Nigeria.
The fiery priest had said to his congregants at the Adoration ground that Mr Obi is stingy and has been cursed, stressing that it would be better to have an old man as President than a ‘stingy young man’.
Bianca’s words, “In Life, you either live by your creed or you desecrate the mould by which the Almighty created you. Any progressive nation measures an individual by his values, not his vaults.
“If this way of life is what is derided as ‘stinginess’ on the part of Peter Obi then we all need to adopt this mould for a more sustainable and more humane environment.”

I see listen and read how some people are confusing prudence, simplicity and self discipline with stinginess.
There and then I know that Nigeria still have a long way to go.
The vices of bribery, extortion, gratification and exploitation has permeated in the system of many a Nigerian to the extent that it has become a norm.
No wonder the Nigeria conventional politicians have been mortgaging the future of the nation and nobody seems to care or consider the future.
Because the love handouts, for immediate self gratification and the expense of a better tomorrow.
The worse is that even the leaders (religious, political, opinion and traditional) are also in this errors.
For instance, can you imagine,where
Some people even tagged having a few luggage when on transit as stinginess. Hmm! Really! So someone has to carry what he doesn’t need or inconvenient himself with the road of baggage he doesn’t need to proof his generosity?:No nah, my sister that is called profundity and superfluity and not generosity.
You call a person for a launching or what name you call it,he said he would choose a project to do for you and your forcing him quote amount. Haba sir, I think the bible says that giving should be between us and our God. It says,in
Matthew 6:1-4
TAKE CARE not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward [reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven. Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already. But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly. And we want Peter to be going round announcing who he has helped or helping
In the advanced nations, who gives money for nothing? The only money that could be given that way is money one did not work for. But nobody gives his hard earned money as a throw away except for the purpose of charity which Peter Obi is already doing enough of that. Given should not be by force or coercion else it becomes extortion and bribery which God did not approve What God loves is a willful giving not by coercion, (direct or indirect)
