A man identified as ikechukwu Onuma popularly known as Ayaaya Onye-Obodo, has been stabbed to death allegedly by his wife’s lover in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday night, August 8, 2022, at Inland Town, Onitsha.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, however, it was gathered that Ikechukwu arrived home unexpectedly and met his wife, Nkemdili making out with her lesbian partner, Ebele Onochie.
In a bid to silence Ikechukwu, the suspect reportedly stabbed him to death.
Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the incident said the suspect is already in custody.
According to him, the state Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng has directed that the matter be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department.
“We have a suspect in custody and the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng has ordered immediate transfer of the case to State CID for a proper investigation.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect stabbed the victim on the chest. He was rushed to the hospital before he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
“What led to the suspect’s action has not been ascertained as investigation has just begun”, he said.
Meanwhile, the remains of Ikechukwu Onuma have been deposited in the mortuary.
