Iwobi Deletes Photos, Videos On Instagram Amid Heavy Criticisms

Following Nigeria’s loss to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final, Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has removed all photos and videos from his Instagram page.

Nigeria was defeated 2-1 by the host country on Sunday, putting an end to the team’s hopes of clinching a fourth continental crown.

Shortly after the match, Iwobi faced harsh criticism from fans and football enthusiasts who believed he did not perform to his best ability, thereby impeding Nigeria’s chances of winning.

Iwobi, therefore, deleted photos from his Instagram handle for fear of cyber abuse.
