Cubana Chief Priest Loses APC Ticket For Imo Reps Seat

Socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

Okechukwu had sought the party’s ticket for the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections but was defeated by incumbent lawmaker Canice Moore Nwachukwu, who was serving his second term.

Okechukwu had been a vocal supporter of the current administration and the APC.

He was also appointed as the Imo State director of the City Boy Movement, a youth-focused group mobilising support for President Tinubu’s re-election.
