Why I Broke Up With My Ex-girlfriend – Rema 

Afrobeats singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has explained why he ended his last relationship, saying his ex-girlfriend was manipulative.  

In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the singer described the relationship as beautiful but not peaceful. 

He said he often dealt with intense pressure from his career and the public, hoping his home would be a place to rest and recover, instead, he faced more pressure and chaos at home, which became unbearable over time. 

Rema stated that the situation eventually led him to walk away from the relationship and that he is not currently seeking another.

“My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure. Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me but coming back home is where you want to feel relieved but when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it’s a different story. For now, I’m done,” he said.
