Why I Played Villain Roles In Movies – Patience Ozokwor 

Veteran actress Patience Ozokwor popularly known as Mama G, has revealed that she takes on villainous roles to highlight uncomfortable truths in society.  

During a recent interaction, she explained that her choice of characters is driven by a sense of responsibility to reflect issues many people avoid.

She noted that film can raise public awareness by portraying wrongdoing and moral conflict on screen.  

Ozokwo said she is bold about exposing societal ills because they happen every day but are rarely discussed.

“I felt bold to expose the ills of society. These things happen and nobody wants to expose them, so I’m exposing them. So I’m extremely proud of myself and mama G lovers”, she said.

Over the years, fans have described her Mama G performances as some of the most memorable villain portrayals in Nigerian cinema.

They credit her consistency and ability to play complex characters across decades.
