Burna Boy Names Okocha As ‘GOAT’ Over Messi, Ronaldo

Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, has weighed in on football, snubbing the Messi versus Ronaldo debate and naming Jay-Jay Okocha as the greatest player ever.

Speaking in a recent interview with ESPN, the ‘Dai Dai’ crooner said his pick is rooted in admiration for Nigerian football legends.

Asked who he considers the best player in history, Burna Boy said, “I will say Jay Jay Okocha. It is between him and Pele. I am not doing that Ronaldo or Messi stuff.”

The Afrobeats star also named England captain Harry Kane as his favourite striker of all time.

On club football, Burna Boy revealed he supports Manchester United.

He picked Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal as the best young player in the world right now, and named midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as his favourite current Manchester United player.
