Why I left Peller, Jarvis’ Traditional Marriage – Seun Kuti

Singer Seun Kuti has debunked reports that he stormed out of the traditional wedding of TikTok stars Jarvis and Peller in Lagos.

Reports claimed that Kuti left the event after one of the Master of Ceremonies allegedly compared Wizkid to his father, music legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

In a viral video alongside Fuji singer Malaika, Kuti said he left the ceremony to go to the Shrine and accused bloggers of misrepresenting the situation.

“I left the wedding to go to the Shrine, and these bloggers twisted things, saying I was angry. Maybe I should have danced out of the ceremony when I had somewhere to go,” he said.

Kuti questioned the narrative that he stormed out in anger, suggesting the exit was being blown out of proportion.

Jarvis and Peller’s traditional wedding, held in Lagos over the weekend, drew several celebrities and social media influencers.
