No Woman Can Single-handedly Raise A Full man – Jim Iyke

Actor Jim Iyke has expressed his thought on parenting, saying fathers play a critical role in raising boys and that mothers alone may find it difficult to provide everything a son needs to grow into a well-rounded man.

Speaking on the Lahor Podcast, the actor stated that a complete upbringing for a boy requires the input of both parents.

He noted that while single parents do their best, the absence of a father figure creates a gap in the way boys learn resilience and self-reliance.

Iyke illustrated his point with an experience from a beach trip in France with his son.

He said his son was bullied by other children and came to him to report it.

Instead of intervening, Iyke said he allowed the boy to return and handle the situation on his own.

The boy later went back, confronted the other children, and recovered his ball.

According to Iyke, that experience taught the boy how to stand up for himself, and such lessons are part of how boys develop.

He added that the same principle applies in reverse, noting that no man alone can raise a complete man either, because both parents bring different values to a child’s growth.

He said: “No woman alive alone can raise a full man. No man alive alone can raise a full man. You need both. At a beach in France , my son was bullied by other kids. He came to report to me, but I did nothing. He went back, fought them and took his ball back. That’s how boys learn.”
