Nicki Minaj Urges Celebrities To Speak Up For Christians In Nigeria

American singer Nicki Minaj wants more celebrities and public figures to speak up about the violence against Christians in Nigeria.

Explaining her connection to the country, Minaj said her pastor is Nigerian and that she also has many Nigerian Barbz, the name used for her fanbase.

In a post, she said:

“My pastor is from Nigeria, so I have a link to Nigeria because of him and I have a lot of Nigerian Barbz. Why isn’t anyone making a big deal out of the br.utality in which Christians are being treated in Nigeria?.

“Sometimes when things aren’t cool to talk about, people just don’t talk about it. I’m hoping that more celebrities influencers and people will come aboard to talk about what is happening to Christians in Nigeria.”

Minaj is calling for more attention to the situation, particularly from people with large platforms who can help bring the issue to a wider audience.
