MY HUSBAND WANTS TO KILL ME WITH SEX

A 38-year-old mother of two children, Mrs Bose has asked the court to dissolve her 12 years old marriage on the ground that her husband wants to send her to an early grave by his insistent regular demand of sex. Mrs Bose appeared before the Ejigbo customary court in Lagos complaining of her husband high libido and that she can’t cope with it anymore or else she would end up dead.

According to her, when she complained of the situation to her husband, Mr Kayode, he became angry and sent her away from her matrimonial home, locked her shop and then brought in his lover one Miss Kate Ugwu who is now living with him as his new wife. Mrs Bose, stressed that since her husband locked up her shop, most of her goods had expired and she doesn’t have any money again to start up the business. She also claimed that at a point the husband was having sexual intercourse with both of them in their matrimonial home, which she can no longer cope with.

She is demanding for a sum of N1.5million from her husband as compensation in order for her to move on with her live as she is no longer interested in the marriage or in love with her husband. In response to her allegation, her husband, Mr Kayode admitted her to leave the house but did so due to her behaviour. According to him, the problem started when his wife Bose told him that she wants to start cooking separately for his late wife’s two children and that he had to send her away for the safety of his children. He also admitted to have married a new wife after Bose left with whom he is now enjoying peace and rest of mind and that he is no longer interested in the marriage with Bose and neither will he pay any compensation to her. The case has been adjourned till 27th of January for judgement.
