Recently, actress Stephanie Chijioke Wabara gave birth to twins. Just one year after she lost her first baby girl, who passed on minutes after birth.
Diamond Celebrities recently talked with the overjoyed mother of twins “Mama Ejim”, who revealed her pains of losing her first child, what gave her strength to carry on and the glory of God that follows afterward.
Here is excerpt of her interview with Delia Innoma :
Diamond Celebrities: Congrats Stephs for your newly born twins!
Stephanie: Thanks Diamond.
Diamond Celebrities: We learnt that last year you lost your first child, can you tell us about it?
Stephanie: I went into the delivery room on the 30th of April 2014 to bring in my first fruit; my daughter. But I didn’t come out with her alive, I lost her just immediately after birth, her breath was slow and I didn’t hear her cry, all I heard was ‘sorry ma, we lost her’. She was 4.3k and looked so much like her dad, I almost killed myself, I destroyed almost everything I bought for her out of frustration. People mocked me, while some also consoled me. I felt life had come to an end for me, I couldn’t hold myself. But two months later I conceived again, little did I know I was carrying twins until 4 months later when I went for ultrasound and I was told I had twins inside of me. Waooo! it was a beautiful feeling for hubby and I, we waited patiently to receive them which finally happened on the 21th of march 2015.
Diamond Celebrities: Were you scared during your second pregnancy period?
Stephanie: I wasn’t scared when I conceived the second time, but I wasn’t too excited as I had passed through stress and was still trying to recover when I conceived again. But until I found out I had twins then I had to put myself together again.
This time when I went to bring in my children I couldn’t wait to hear them cry, my husband was right there with me, he watched them take me away and right in his eyes I saw fears and worries, I could read his mind but to God be the Glory we have our kids with us
Diamond Celebrities: How do you feel now?
Stephanie: Our joy knows no bound, each time I look at them I just want to cry, my heart is full of praise, the joy I feel inside I can’t explain.
